Come join our swing dance festival in the beautiful town of Konstanz. Three days filled with exciting workshops from international teachers, water vibes at the lake, birdsong and happy feet are waiting for you!
Cédric and Caroline travel the national and international swing stages to dance, teach and perform Lindy Hop, Blues and Balboa. Back in 2012, they decided to develop together as dancers and teachers as part of the Strasbourg Lindy Spot association. Their students enjoy their dynamic classes, in which Cédric’s humor and Caroline’s poetry complement each other wonderfully. Both are united by their vision of progressive pedagogy, in which technique is approached with precision and detail. Cédric and Caroline combine the learning of basic steps with effective use of surprise moments from the music. While Cédric likes to remind us of these very principles of musicality in dance, Caroline invites us to explore emotions and discover personal expression.
Born in Italy, Alberto discovered Swing dance in 2015, and he hasn’t stopped since. Shortly after beginning his dance journey, Alberto started traveling to various festivals across Europe, where he learned from different artists and participated in competitions. Following a couple of residencies in Budapest and Vilnius, he has now made Warsaw, Poland, his home/dance base, teaching at the dance school ShimSham.pl.
While he still enjoys competing and ‚throw down‘ on the dance floor, his favorite moments are undoubtedly spent social dancing. Alberto finds inspiration in every lindyhopper he meets, as each encounter on the dance floor brings something new. Dancing fuels his energy and curiosity, driving him to continually explore the history and culture of the dance. His pockets are filled with rhythmic variations and…joke 😉
The Rhythm Outlines from Strasbourg was formed around Cédric, a swing dancer, but also a choreographer and dance teacher who scoured the different European scenes to perform and transmit his passion.
The Rhythm Outlines have only one goal in mind: to produce high-quality, energetic swing so that all the dancers can live their passion on the dance floor. They are increasingly demanded in France and in Europe (Paris, Tours, Lille, Freiburg, Luxembourg, Geneva, Turin …) and are never tired of travelling to make all the scenes they meet vibrate!
Beginner
You have never danced Lindy Hop before, or it’s been a long time? Then this class is for you! We show you necessary steps that enable you to have fun at our Parties. Also if you know a few steps or visited a Beginner-Workshop already you are at the right spot!
Beginner-Intermediate
You dance actively for at least half of a year and have visited a class or workshop already. You go to social dances and/or Lindy Parties regularly and know some moves and tried dancing the Swing-out.
Intermediate
You have at least two years of active Lindy experience, visited multiple classes or workshops and you attend social dances, dance training and/or Lindy parties regularly. You know lots of dance figures and have danced the Swing-out.
Intermediate-Advanced
You have lots of active Lindy experience, attended multiple dance classes or workshops and you have tried out other swing dances as well (Blues, Balboa, Shag,…). You go to social dances, trainings and/or parties at least once a week. Switching between Lindy Hop and Lindy Charleston is easy for you. You enjoy dancing to very fast as well as very slow music, know lots of variations to Lindy Hop dance moves and improvisation is a essential part of your social dancing. Dancing the Swing-out to fast music does not throw you out of balance. You want to dance with your whole body and enjoy working on the basis of your dancing.
Advanced
We also want to give our very advanced dancers a chance of benefiting from our workshops. Please only register for this class if you truly feel safe in your dancing and contribute to the group! In addition to the description from the intermediate-advanced classes you should be able to implement technical concepts like stretch, posture, momentum and musicality on a high level as well as be able to accept and implement feedback. If you are unsure whether you fit in this class or not, please contact us!
We are currently establishing a hosting program.
